The APTA encourages pros and parents to jump start the paddle season for kids by offering a fun kick off event combining light instruction with round robin play.
The Short Hills Club and host Pro Dave Broderick was the site recently for a NJ Kids Kickoff Event featuring drills and play with area pros and National Champions!
All players got APTA Viking Jr Tour frisbees!
Special thanks to Indian Trail's Ana Bzova, Wilton Riding Club's Liz Cruz, Mike Gillespie from Indian Trail Club, Blake Anderson from THE Short Hills Club, Darlene McGlone and Ari Ash from Beacon Hill and Greg Morgan from Racquets Club for donating their time and expertise to make it a great two hours of paddle fun for area kids!

Laurie Hissey, Peter Hissey and Blake organized drills and play for 64 spirited juniors the day after halloween! Games on court and off thanks to some creative parents!!!! Philly Paddle Rocks!
Chicago's Kids Kickoff Event !!!
Chicago held it’s first ever kickoff event the day before the Chicago Charities Grand Prix Tour Event for and many volunteers were on hand take the kids thru two hours of fun skills and drills. Marina Ohlmuller, Briarwood Country Club Pro headed up the Chicago effort and got lots of help from Allison Morgan from The Birchwood Club, Adam Morgan from The Lake Forest Club, Allan Graham, Ana Bzova, Julia Sierks, Robert Stahl and Allan Graham from the Winnetka Park District, Denise Murphy and Eric Moran from The Lake Bluff Park District, Patty Hogan, Sally Jones, Kim Fiedler from Saddle and Cycle Club and APTA board member Shannon Vinson.
