Greetings from your 2019 APTA Junior Nationals Committee. We have a great day of paddle planned for Saturday’s National Championships. We will be playing at 15 different clubs using 59 courts.
Each club will have a designated experienced Hut Commander. The Hut Commander will give out court assignments; record results and enforce sportsmanship.
All Players are expected to abide by the APTA Sportsmanship Code of Conduct. There is NO COACHING during play. THIS IS YOUR WARNING.
First offense will result in loss of game; a second offense will result in a default.
If there is any hint of coaching going on by the courts, the Hut Commander has the authority to move the parents inside.

All players will get a Nationals bag containing snacks, gatorade and water upon arrival. All teams will play for 2-3 hours BEFORE lunch in round robin play. Please plan ahead and bring any extra food that you think your child may need in case they don’t go to lunch until 12:30 or 1. We will play on Saturday rain or shine, so please make sure players are dressed appropriately.
Lunch for all participants will be at Canoe Brook Country Club (1108 Morris Turnpike, Summit, NJ 07901) following morning play. Parents can buy lunch which includes a salad option for $25.00.

All afternoon play will be within 15 minutes of Canoe Brook. All event finals will be played at The Short Hills Club in Short Hills, NJ. All players and families are invited to attend the Tailgate Party at The Short Hills Club from 2-4pm. There will be a Game Room set up all afternoon with basketball, shuffleboard and ping pong. Please encourage your son or daughter to stick around and watch afternoon play even if they have been eliminated following the round robin qualifying rounds.
